Insert a Video in a Post

There are three ways to add a video to a post:

This article also covers how to delete a video.

Insert Video Using Play Icon

  1. Place your cursor in the location where you intend to upload the video.
  2. Select the Play icon from the toolbar at the bottom of the post.
  3. Upload a video from your computer (note there is a file size limit of 5 GB). Video_1.png
  4. Once the video is finished uploading, it will begin processing. Click here to learn more about what happens during processing.
  5. Once processing is complete, follow the prompts to select a title and thumbnail. You may now publish your post.

 

Drag and Drop Video from Computer to a Post

  1. Using your mouse, drag desired video(s) from computer into desired location within post (blue line indicates location).
  2. Let go of the mouse to begin the video upload process (note: file size limit of 5 GB) Video_2.png
  3. Once the video is finished uploading, it will begin processing. Click here to learn more about the processing process.
  4. Once processing is complete, follow the prompts to select a title and thumbnail. You may now publish your post.

 

Insert a Video from YouTube, Vimeo, Microsoft Stream, or Synthesis Native Video

  1. Navigate to the video’s webpage.
    Note: If inserting a Synthesis Native Video which is already uploaded elsewhere on your intranet, follow these instructions
  2. Copy the url, and paste it into the body of the post.
  3. The link will become an embedded player. You may now publish your post.

How to Delete a Video

  1. Navigate to the post, comment or wiki page, and click Edit.
  2. Select the video by clicking on it.
  3. The video will be highlighted with a blue border.
  4. Press Delete or Backspace on your keyboard.
