Insert a Video in a Comment

There are several ways to add a video to your comment:

  • If writing a comment using the web version of Synthesis, you will:
    • Insert a video from your computer using the play icon
    • Drag and drop a video from your computer into a post
    • Insert a video from YouTube, Vimeo, or Microsoft Stream
  • If writing a comment by email (by replying to an email notification), you will simply attach the video(s) to the email.

Insert Video Using Play Icon

  1. Place your cursor in the location where you intend to upload the video.
  2. Select the Play icon from the toolbar at the bottom of the comment.
  3. Upload a video from your computer (note there is a file size limit of 5 GB).Video_6.png
  4. Once the video is finished uploading, it will begin processing. Click here to learn more about what happens during processing.
  5. Once processing is complete, follow the prompts to select a title and thumbnail. You may now publish your comment.

 

Drag and Drop Images from Computer to a Comment

  1. Using your mouse, drag desired video(s) from computer into desired location within comment (blue line indicates location).
  2. Let go of the mouse to begin the video upload process (note: file size limit of 5 GB).  Video_7.png
  3. Once the video is finished uploading, it will begin processing. Click here to learn more about the processing process.
  4. Once processing is complete, follow the prompts to select a title and thumbnail. You may now publish your comment.

Insert a Video from YouTube, Vimeo, or Microsoft Stream

  1. Navigate to the video’s webpage.
  2. Copy the url, and paste it into the comment.
  3. The link will become an embedded player. You may now publish your comment.
