Insert Files in Comments

You may insert files from two different locations:

Insert Files from your Computer

There are several ways to add a file to your comment:

  • If writing a comment using the web version of Synthesis, you will:
    • Insert Files using the Paperclip Icon, OR
    • Drag and Drop Files from your Computer
  • If writing a comment by email (by replying to an email notification), you will simply attach the file(s) to the email. Attached files will appear at the bottom of the comment.

Note there is a file size limit of 250 MB.

Insert Files using the Paperclip Icon

  1. Place your cursor in the location where you intend to upload the file.
  2. Select the paperclip icon from the toolbar at the bottom of the comment.
  3. Select Upload files from your computer.
  4. Use the dialogue box to select the desired file(s), and select Open.
  5. Once the progress bar disappears, your file has been uploaded!

Drag and Drop Files from Computer

  1. Using your mouse, drag desired file(s) from computer into desired location within comment (blue line indicates location).
  2. Let go of your mouse. Once the progress bar disappears, your file has been uploaded!

Insert Files from SharePoint Library

  1. Place your cursor in the location where you intend to upload the file.
  2. Select the paperclip icon from the toolbar at the bottom of the comment.
  3. Follow the prompts to locate the desired document.
