Insert a File from your Computer
There are two ways to add files from your computer to a post:
- Insert files using paperclip icon
- Drag and drop files
Note there is a file size limit of 250 MB.
Insert Files using Paperclip Icon
- Place your cursor in the location where you intend to upload the file.
- Select the paperclip icon from the toolbar at the bottom of the post.
- Select Upload files from your computer.
- Use the dialogue box to select the desired file(s), and select Open.
- Once the progress bar disappears, your file has been uploaded!
Drag and Drop Files from Computer to Post
- Using your mouse, drag desired file(s) from computer into desired location within post (blue line indicates location).
- Let go of your mouse. Once the progress bar disappears, your file has been uploaded!
Where do files uploaded from computer live once they are posted?
Files added directly to a post from your computer live in the Synthesis cloud; they are not added to a SharePoint document library. You may find posted files and images by either a) navigating to the post, or b) using the Search bar.
Insert a File from a SharePoint Library
- Place your cursor in the location where you intend to upload the file.
- Select the paperclip icon from the toolbar at the bottom of the post.
- Follow the prompts to locate the desired document.
How to Delete a Document
- Select the document by clicking on it.
- The document will be highlighted with a blue border.
- Press Delete or Backspace on your keyboard.
